Thursday 29th February, 2024 at about 11am, the Viabl Youth for Good Governance holds her annual conference & 3years anniversary at Okwagbe Community in Ughelli South LGA, Delta State, Nigeria. The lecture theme was GOOD GOVERNANCE and the lecture topic was REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY; ITS CHALLENGES AND NEED FOR CIVIL SOCIETY RECOGNITION.

To ponder on and lecture the said topic, Mr D.J.Foghi (JP), Activist Blessed Oghenero UGHERE (Osu re' Ighele) Uhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing Worldwide and Renowned Activist Kelvin Ejumudo (National Secretary) Citizens Rights Concern Enhancement Initiative a.k.a. Human Right Protection Congress also the Delta State HRPC Secretary were present as the official guest speakers.



Coordinator's Interview:
Comr Edewor Otighoarievwen who is the National Coordinator of the pressure group said during the conference interview session; People live according to the amount of information they have and you can't give out what you don't have, hence' the set up of VYGG conference committee whom among were; Mr Prince Akuku Peter (Nat. PRO) Viable Youth for Good Governance, Mr Kushon God'swill (Asst. Nat. Secretary) Viable Youth for Good Governance, and the Comr John Djogun (National Secretary) Viable Youth for Good Governance including others that work tremendously to ensure the success of the programme.

He also said, the rate at which Mr D.J.Foghi (JP) has encouraged the group in their intellectual programmes towards humanity correcting government abnormalities in our today society, stare the group anxiousness to the barest minimum rather shows there can be change if there is consistence advocacy.

On the interview, Comr Edewor O. express his indigenous dissatisfaction as he state clearly the leadership of Okwagbe communities (Inland & water side) lacks respect and knowledge for leadership enhancement programmes that may increase positive leadership. He made the statement due to their absence in the programme after honourable invitation was given to them. What about the current representatives of different public offices in Jeremy ward 3/6? They are all almost failures in learning solutions to true democracy challenges because they failed to attend the conference that should serve them a better platform or knowledge to rule. By norms, councillors, political parties head and community leaders are suppose to plan and host programmes like of the VIABLE YOUTH FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE but the act I can not title is limiting their physical effort that should be gear to improve and develop their wards.

Edewor who hails from the host community of the VYGG conference concluded by saying, well, let leave somethings unsaid till the day posterity will be out of control and if it happens, the community or state will not be able to be managed effectively. Much are to be said tomorrow, Edewor lastly express his dissatisfaction.

However, the young opinion leader and idea merchant Comr Edewor Otighoarievwen, shows overwhelming excitement having the age group of 16 who were students of various senior secondary school and willing to learn and become mass leader youth as targeted audience as he believes if information gets to more than one person that means the information has gone viral...

The Viable Youth for Good Governance Position:
1. Having succeeded the VYGG conference, the entire group call on the House of Assembly Member representing the good people of Ughelli South HON FESTUS UTUAMA and our very hardworking Governor of Delta State Rt.Hon.Sheriff Francis O. Oborevwori to kindly look into the aims and objectives of the organization to see and personally accept to sponsor the group objectives as they have always function to elivate the M.O.R.E. agenda of Delta, Oborevwori tenure.
In unism we can build a better Delta and the Viable Youth for Good Governance have stood and stand as a link between the government and the people promoting the M.O.R.E. agenda in the grass root. Therefore, the amiable governor, the pride of Delta, Governor Sheriff Francis O. Oborevwori should in his goodwill reach out to this willing and hardworking pressure group that is functioning within her core aims and objectives. It may be a better chances to build better formidable democratic structure to develop the rural part of Delta State without doubt of services.

2. There's need for the House of Assembly Members representing each LGAs to have an office in their local governments. It will help them to access complaints letters, Leadership suggestions and opinion letters, groups advocacy letters, etc, all will be the essence of actualizing democracy and reasons to practice of representative democracy.

3. The Youth who are on peaceful advocacy mission and that of peaceful moral conduct with sound educational certificate should be encourage with government jobs  and appointment as it will help to regulate possible professional act of services to either public corporations or secular politics in due government positions.

4. Registered organizations or association in nature of pressure group, NGOs, Civil Society etc, should be sponsor by the government as they termed to assist canvasing for improve government institutions, policies and programmes. If for no reason but the fact they are standing as a link between the government and the people, the government should spot them and their functions to enable a conducive democratic atmosphere and practices in our today society. Els, the next generation of democratic leader's may be the worst to encourage problems of representative democracy.

Conclusively:
The leadership of Viable Youth for Good with Reg. No. CDD/USLG/3016/15 appreciate the likes of Hon Disi Kpabor, (councillorship aspirant Jeremy 3/6), Hon Samson Oghenevwegba(Councillorship Aspirant Jeremy 3/6) Hon Mrs Ejayeta Sunday(Councillorship Aspirant Jeremy 2) and the Mr Edafe Ajekevwoda(Jeremy 3 APC Chairman) for kind and cash support for the conference programme.
